Having some left over ink, from another project- i decided to reprint a small run of my favorite lino plate (although i don't need much of an excuse to print this one!) This print is now available from the Folksy and Etsy shops.
Thanks Colin- it's odd how we all seem to be drawn to different colours. I also find that certain colour inks behave differently too. I love using red, but find the red ink i use a little transparent, so have to add a little bit of brown to it for it to thicken it up to provide a decent print. I'm also fascinated by the way the same plate printed in a different colour can produce a completely different quality to the print.
Such a charming print.
ReplyDeleteLooking good and an interesting "retro" kind of colour. Is the paper white or creamy - hard to see in the photo
ReplyDeleteThanks Colin, it's a very pale cream (off-white) cartridge paper, which always prints beautifully.
ReplyDeleteGreat combination! I seem to find green a troublesome colour - I tend toward blues/purples myself.
