Wild Garlic

Wild Garlic Lino print

Thank you to everyone for suggesting less painful methods of cutting lino, I have been on the lookout for some softer medium, but by chance came across a small piece of soft cut lino in my local art shop.
It works very well, although it cuts in a very different manner to traditional lino.  I decided to go for a simple approach,  A simple print, in black and white, hand tinted with watercolour to add a little colour.
I drew inspiration for an experimental print with a recent foraging trip for some wild garlic. Slightly late in the season. the garlic had started to produce wonderful seed heads, rather than the distinctive white flowers. The smell in the kitchen was wonderful along with the smell of some freshly cut rosemary from the garden!
