I was reminded recently of a trip i took the the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge back in 2009, celebrating the work of Charles Darwin. Of course, what struck me most from that visit was the exquisite drawings and prints recording the stunning species and specimens. With this in mind i recently started to create a mass of insect lino cuts, Each insect has been printed, hand tinted with colour, then waxed, then formed into individual collages. I'm now hoping to frame them all ready for an exhibition at Church Street Gallery in Saffron Walden. More news soon.

Stunning work! I have a fondness for moths and beetles too and I'm intrigued by the waxing technique. What adhesive do you use to create the collage once they're waxed?
