Floral Repeat

This year, i have set myself a new challenge!  to try and work out the art of a successful pattern that can be repeated on a larger scale. I started off earlier on in the month with an idea for a pattern including  birds and florals, using pen and pencil, but although it looked ok, i thought it was far too busy to make the pattern work properly in a repeat. So I've scaled back the image, tweaking certain elements of the original design to produce a lino cut for the print. I knew i wouldn't be able to stay away from printing for long! Amanda x
