After creating some collages several weeks ago i've been eager to try and develop some of the ideas into print. So the first of these prints has resulted in this "Autumn " print , using simple shapes but rich warm colours, printing each shape individually until the image is completed. The different colour combinations are endless, but i loved using the rich purples and mustards in this piece, reminiscent of the colours and shades of autumn.

I like this soo much. The colors are so great together.I like to walk in the forest and this reminds me of an Autumn day in the forest:)
This is also reminiscent of the 1970's prints which featured on some of my parents china; a tea-pot and some storage jars. It takes me back.
I have said it before I know but it would make a great textile.
Thank you- i would love to see this design on fabric, just need the know how! I think the hand blocking process would be to impractical and costly- so maybe in the new year i'll look at other ways to get it printed into swatches.
Bella- definitely! perhaps being a child of the seventies, those designs stayed with me- i remember my parents having some very funky wall paper, brown and olive green swirls! Amanda : )
Really like this - the colours work so well together. I agree, would look amazing on fabric. Spoonflower?
I agree with Flora, great for a fabric print.. Love the colour combination. I'm sitting here imagining cushions.. mmmm..
It's lovely and ditto what others have said about fabric :) I've only used Spoonflower once for a sample swatch but can definitely reccommend it, it's so exciting seeing your own design on fabric :)
Thank you Flora for the link. I think i'll definitely be giving it a go in the New Year- sounds really exciting !
Really love the colours and the placement of the images. I agree with the previous comments, it would make a wonderful textile print.
